Last weekend saw hundreds of thousands of car and racing enthusiasts, along with the odd celebrity, descend on Goodwood House to indulge in their speed needs at the annual Festival of Speed ‘garden party’. Blessed with (predominantly) good weather, this years’ event was once again a spectacular scene, and one that Octink was heavily involved in for the sixth year running.
Using our expertise in event experiences to bring to life brand requirements, this year we project managed some of the top brand names, printing and installing graphics that set off to perfection the different pavilions.
These ranged from super large banners at the Mercedes pavilion including a 25m long hoarding:
to BMW’s external graphics as well as intricate blue and silver hexagonal flooring
We have a great partner, Losberger, a leading manufacturer of temporary structures, and together we are all about the quality and professionalism of our finished work. As with most big events, there are inevitably a range of last minute changes to manage, and our 10 strong team who were on the ground for two weeks did an amazing job. With a multi-site install like this, the onsite coordination and planning is extremely important and we are really proud of our capabilities in this area.
Take a look at this image of the Mini pavilion with its ‘wooden’ floor. Printed on a special anti-slip material we used our experience to make sure that endless pounding feet wouldn’t slip or slide at any time – and nor would the cars!
The Festival of Speed was another example of a successful event for us, and we’re now racing our way towards the next one. [See more…]
