June 14th marked the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta.
On a slightly soggy Sunday, Runnymede witnessed the unveiling of a statue of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to mark the occasion, as in 2015 she becomes the
longest reigning monarch during this period. And at her feet the informative plaque and eleven metre long timeline, highlighting important events and the
lineage of the British monarchy, were prepared by Octink.
As part of the work we do with Crest Nicholson, we were honoured to be able to use our skills to put in place a temporary solution for the visiting hoards to
walk over during the next few weeks. Printed direct to substrate and using a non-slip coating, the floor graphic and commemorative plaques around the
area are in situ until ‘the real thing’ can be engraved in stone.
This Magna Carta project is one of our favourites! We think it already does look like the real thing, don’t you?
